
TSN insider Darren Dreger shared information about the Vancouver Canucks' contract talks with defenseman Quinn Hughes and forward Elias Pettersson.
"Hughes' contract term will be six years and Pettersson's will be three years. The parties are still working on the final details before signing the contract," Dreger wrote on Twitter.
As reported, the term for Hughes is 6 years and the term for Pettersson is 3 years. Two side are still grinding on the final details before signing off on exact aav for each.

It is reported that Hughes' cap hit could be $7.75 million ($46.5 million total contract) and Pettersson's could be $7.7 million ($23.1 million total salary).
The 2021/2022 regular season will begin Oct. 12 with two games, which will be a meeting between the reigning champion Tampa Bay Lightning and the Pittsburgh Penguins, which will be played in Tampa. The second game of the day will feature the league's rookie Seattle Cracken against the Vegas Golden Knights.
"Vancouver" will play its first game of the season on October 14 on the road against Edmonton.
